GETTING TO THE BAY Put in Bay, Ohio, is located on the crown jewel of the Lake Erie Islands, South Bass Island. The Miller Ferry is a passenger and motor vehicle boat that services both South Bass Island, where Put in Bay is located, and Middle Bass Island from Catawba. Passengers traveling to Put in Bay are dropped off on the island's south shore, where buses, golf carts and taxis are waiting to take you on the short trip downtown.
